My Favorites of 2025 (Blog Posts and Purchases)
At the beginning of each new year, I like to share some of my favorite blog posts from the previous year. To keep it simple I’m just sharing one favorite from each season and one for Christmas. In addition, I’m also including a list of favorite purchases I made for my home. So, if you’re looking for some ideas or projects to start off the new year, hopefully some of my favorites of 2025 will inspire you!

My Favorites of 2025 – Ideas from Each Season:
Favorites of 2025 – Winter Ideas:
Since winter seems to last forever, last February I shared some tips to get through the season.

In my blog post, Winter Vibes Decor (& Tips to Get Through the Season), I shared some simple winter decorating tips, a bit of New England travel and some cozy shopping finds!

Favorites of 2025 – Spring Ideas:
Once spring arrives, I get more creative and excited to embrace the warmer weather. Last April, I shared some super-easy DIY projects for spring…like these simple bunny ear tea cups. Can I even call that a DIY? Haha…

In that blog post, – Decorating with Bunnies (Ideas for Spring & Easter), I also shared a fun napkin fold for Easter and a bunch of other bunny decorating ideas!

Favorites of 2025 – Summer Ideas:
In the summer, I like to keep my decorating very simple with a touch of coastal styling. Then when the 4th of July rolls around, I add a bit of red, white and blue for some classic Americana vibes. In my home, my fireplace mantel is a great place for seasonal decor.

In my blog post, Middle of July (Decorating, Shopping & More!), I also shared my charcuterie board tips for summer entertaining along with some mid-summer shopping finds!

Favorites of 2025 – Fall Ideas:
Once fall arrives, I start looking for ways to make my home cozy and inviting. If you read my blog frequently, you know I love decorating tablescapes. This past fall, I styled my kitchen table with colors inspired by my new table runner.

To pick up the brown from the runner, I added pine cones, brown rattan charger plates, amber glasses and velvet pumpkins in shades of brown. For contrast, I added touches of blue with the napkins and placemats. For more photos of this table along with shopping details, read – Neutral Fall Tablescape (Simple and Classic Ideas).

Favorites of 2025 – Christmas Ideas:
This year, “Ralph Lauren Christmas” seemed to be the trend everyone was jumping on! Of course, I had to include my take on the trend by decorating my navy dining room with red plaid and other classic details.

When decorating my table, I mixed in classic blue willow plates, crystal glassware and sterling silverware. To carry the style over to my dining room tree, I added red ribbon and blue and white ginger jar ornaments. For more photos and details, read – Ralph Lauren Christmas Dining Room & Home Tour! (You’ll also see other rooms on the tour as well!)

My Favorites of 2025 – Some Purchases for My Home:
A new mirror and lamp for my foyer…
In 2024, I replaced my old foyer table with a painted antique dresser. Then in 2025, I replaced the mirror with this gold mirror and updated the lampshade with this pleated lampshade. At some point, I might replace the lamp base with something a little more sophisticated…but we’ll see. Like many spaces in my home, my foyer is always evolving.

Furnishings and bedding for our Vermont condo…
Last winter, I made over a bedroom in our ski condo. For this room, a few of my favorite purchases were the duvet cover, black lamps, nightstands, and the dark gray plaid pillow. Even though I still need to hang artwork and make a few tweaks, the bedroom is basically done. To see the full before and after with more details, read – Neutral Bedroom Makeover.

Accent table from a favorite store…
Last spring, I visited Nora Murphy’s beautiful store, The Little Shop. On that trip, I purchased this gorgeous botanical tray table. Not only do I love the way it looks in my home but it reminds me of that fun shopping day. Since then, she has moved her store to a different location. If you’d like to see photos from her original store, read – Classic Country Style (A Visit to The Little Shop).

Artificial eucalyptus stems for styling…
When updating my home for each season, I sometimes use real greenery and sometimes I like to use artificial. When I found these artificial eucalyptus branches, I was impressed with their quality and what you get for the money. I even bought a second set and have styled them in several places around my home.

Hopefully, after taking a look at my favorites of 2025 you’ll be inspired to try some new things in your home this year!
And since it’s always fun to reminisce, here are some links to my favorite posts from previous years!
