At the beginning of each new year, I like to share some of my favorite blog posts from the previous year.  Even though my favorites weren’t necessarily the most popular posts of the year, they’re a handful of ones I liked for one reason or another.  (You can find the most popular recap here – 10 Most Popular Posts of 2021).  So, if you’re looking for some ideas or projects to start off the new year, hopefully some of my favorites of 2021 will inspire you!

Outdoor Mother’s Day Table Setting

If you’ve read my blog for any length of time, you know I love decorating tables.  In 2021, we spent so much time outdoors so it made sense to decorate the patio table when Mother’s Day came around.  Since our table overlooks the pool, I used that as inspiration.  I pulled out a bunch of blue and white accessories and mixed in some greens and natural textures.  My table ended up with a British Colonial vibe and made us feel like we were on vacation in the Caribbean.  After all, we haven’t been able to travel in a while, so why not escape to the patio?!

Bar Cart Styling Tips – Make Every Day Feel Like Vacation!

Obviously, I’m missing our trips in the Caribbean because my vacation inspired bar cart styling tips were another of my favorites of 2021.  With all the time we’re spending at home these days, it was fun to create escape right in my living room.  And yes, I used a few of the same colors and accessories from my patio table setting.  It’s always fun to repurpose items isn’t it?
