Neutral Fall Tablescape (and Kitchen):
Welcome to my fall kitchen…
Today, I’ll share my tips for decorating a neutral fall table with brown, white and touches of blue.

Neutral Fall Tablescape (Simple and Classic Ideas):
Start with an inspiration piece…
Recently, I purchased this gorgeous patterned table runner from a beautiful store in Connecticut. From there, I dug through my linens and table accessories to create a fresh look for this fall.

Choose items with coordinating colors…
To pick up the brown from the runner, I used my blue, white and brown floral napkins, my amber wine glasses and my blue and white checked placemats.

Layer fall accessories and textures…
For each place setting, I layered my brown woven chargers and classic white plates. On top, I placed a mini velvet pumpkin for a simple fall touch. This year, brown has become very popular in clothing and home decor!

Over the years, I’ve used the velvet pumpkins in different ways for fall. To see how I used them in my living room one year, read – Thanksgiving Bar Cart Ideas.

Down the center of the table, I also added some small white pumpkins and pine cones. For years, white pumpkins have been my favorite fall accessory!

Add a simple centerpiece…
For a casual feel, I decided to use a wooden duck instead of a flower arrangement. A few months ago, I found the vintage duck in an antique store and I loved the dark brown color of the wood. Overall, I think it gives the table a classic Ralph Lauren vibe. When decorating a table, I usually like to keep a low centerpiece so it doesn’t block the view across the table. It ended up being the perfect piece.

Create ambiance with candles…
For a cozy glow, I placed two glass hurricanes with candles on either side of the duck.

Also, I added a few small votive candles for extra sparkle.

Repeat your color palette in other areas of the room…
On my windowsill, I added a little blue and brown to coordinate with the table.

To add some fall touches to the rest of the room, I included a couple more pumpkins and some more blue and white.

Hopefully, I’ve inspired you to decorate a fall table this season!
