Home Ideas Shared on the Blog in March:

In March, I shared some ways to decorate with scalloped decor…

Even though scallops have been popular for a couple years, I’m still seeing a ton of them in the stores.  For spring, they add such a sweet decorative touch.  To see how I’ve used them in my home, read – Scalloped Decor (Ideas for Your Spring Home Styling)

To welcome spring, I showed ways to decorate with faux florals…

Sure, I love decorating with real flowers but faux flowers are a great alternative.  In March, I shared my ideas for Spring Faux Florals and Greenery.  These days, there are so many artificial flowers to choose from in the stores.

Since Easter is right around the corner, I shared some tablescape ideas…

If you’re looking for some festive ways to decorate your Easter table, be sure to read – Decorating an Easter Table (Tips & Tablescape Ideas).  After years of admiring them, I finally made the cute bunny ears napkin roll!  Of course, I used artificial Easter eggs…because real ones are still too expensive!

To acknowledge the pleated lampshade trend, I shared some ideas…

Lately, I’m so drawn to the classic look of pleated lampshades.  If you love the style and are looking for some ideas, read – Decorating with Pleated Lampshades in Your Home.

While we’re freshening up our homes for spring, I shared front door ideas…

Favorite March Finds:

Once the weather gets warmer, it’s time for all the new store merchandise…

If you regularly read my blog, you know that I love items with caning details.  Well, as soon as I found this cane tote bag, I had to have it!  Last year, I bought a similar one with brown trim.  So many people asked me about it while on vacation.  This year, I bought the white version but it also comes with black trim.  At the moment, it’s sold out in many stores but you can still get it online if you’re interested!

In March, I also found a new recipe…

One weekend, my younger son was home from college and said he was in the mood for penne vodka.  Now that we’re empty nesters during the school year, I jump at any time my boys want something homemade!  So, I made this penne all vodka recipe and it was a huge hit!  For the most part, I followed the recipe but I used 3/4 pound of penne instead of one pound and added grilled chicken to it.  We all loved it!

Goodbye March Hello April – Decorating and More:

To begin the month of April, I shared photos from my visit to Nora Murphy’s store…

If you’re familiar with Nora Murphy Country House, you’re going to love seeing the interior of her store!  This week, I took you on a tour and showed you what I purchased (yay)!  You can read all about it here – Classic Country Style (A Visit to The Little Shop).

In my home, I’ve added some subtle Easter decor…

Generally, I don’t go too crazy with Easter decorations.  Usually, I just decorate some spring vignettes and tablescapes.  At the moment, I have this simple tray displayed on my kitchen island.  It’s the perfect place to add seasonal decor in my home.

Since April is “National Afternoon Tea Month”, celebrate at home…

If you’re looking for ways to decorate for a spring tea, here are some cute ideas I shared one year – How to Decorate a Tiered Tray (for Tea Time Entertaining).

End of March / Early April Shopping:

If you’re in the shopping mood, here are some spring finds that caught my eye…

Not only did this rattan vase catch my eye but I actually bought it!  (It’s the exact one in my tray vignette above).

If you want to splurge on the look, this woven vase is very popular this spring!

This April, celebrate cherry blossom season with some faux flower stems like these beautiful white faux cherry blossoms!

Speaking of spring flowers, how gorgeous is this floral wicker and canvas wine carrier!

If you want to add some spring cheer to your bathroom, these floral towels are so pretty!
