October Decorating Ideas (Cozy Home Inspiration)

Hello friends and hello October!  Welcome to the Saturday Spotlight, where each week, I like to highlight a different theme or topic to inspire you.   Since October seems to be everyone’s favorite month, today I’m sharing some October decorating ideas.  So, grab your pumpkin spiced beverage, sit back and get inspired!

October Decorating Ideas from the Blog:

If you read my blog on a regular basis, you know I love decorating seasonal tables. 

Here is one of my favorite fall tables featuring mini orange pumpkins! When you read that blog post, you’ll see that I coordinated my fall table setting with my fall bar cart.  I loved the way the orange pumpkins popped against all the navy blue!

Speaking of pumpkins, I think we all have our opinions about our favorite pumpkin colors…

So I say, let’s all appreciate those orange pumpkins this October! From pumpkin themed vignettes to October styled front porches, there’s plenty of reasons to love orange pumpkins!

Now that October has arrived, Halloween will be here before we know it…

With that in mind, here are a bunch of cute Halloween ideas to get you ready! If you keep it simple, Halloween decorating doesn’t have to look tacky.  Hopefully, you’ll like the Halloween and October decorating ideas I shared!

October Decorating Ideas – Inspiration is Everywhere:

Since fall decorating has become so popular, it’s easy to find inspiration when you’re out and about…

This past weekend, I traveled to Newport, Rhode Island and stopped in the Kiel James Patrick store.  Here are a couple cute displays from the store…

So adorable…am I right?  Yes, the store was as pretty as their Instagram feed…an explosion of New England style fall color!  Now I want to pull out all my sweaters, plaid and pumpkin decor!

October Shopping Finds:

If you’re ready to shop, I’m ready to share some October shopping ideas!…

October is a great month to work on a jigsaw puzzle in front of the fire!  We spotted beautiful fall puzzles during our Newport Shopping trip!

If you’re entertaining this October (or even November), this pumpkin tureen is such a versatile piece…

Not only is it great for serving soup or other dishes but I think it would make a great centerpiece.  You could fill it with flowers or other fall items…get creative.

Yes, I’ve shared these before, but I highly recommend these limited edition soaps for fall!  Sure, pumpkin spice is always great this time of year but apple cider is just as lovely!
