Hello friends and hello October!  Welcome to the Saturday Spotlight, where each week, I like to highlight a different theme or topic to inspire you.   Since October seems to be everyone’s favorite month, today I’m sharing some October decorating ideas.  So, grab your pumpkin spiced beverage, sit back and get inspired!

If you read my blog on a regular basis, you know I love decorating seasonal tables.  Here is one of my favorite fall tables featuring mini orange pumpkins!

Since fall decorating has become so popular, it’s easy to find inspiration when you’re out and about.  This past weekend, I traveled to Newport, Rhode Island and stopped in the Kiel James Patrick store.  Here are a couple cute displays from the store…

Yes, the store was as pretty as their Instagram feed…an explosion of New England style fall color!  Now I want to pull out all my sweaters, plaid and pumpkin decor!

October Shopping Finds:

October is a great month to work on a jigsaw puzzle in front of the fire!  We spotted some adorable fall puzzles during our Newport Shopping trip!

If you’re entertaining this October (or even November), this pumpkin tureen is such a versatile piece…

Not only is it great for serving soup or other dishes but I think it would make a great centerpiece.  You could fill it with flowers or other fall items…get creative.

  1. There’s no denying any more that fall is here, even though my summer flowers are still booming. But, I’ve slowly started adding bits of fall to my front porch. The store in Newport looks like my kind of place. I must order that apple cider hand soap!

    1. Yes, it’s quite chilly this morning! I was excited to visit the store in Newport because I’ve admired them on Instagram for awhile. Such a charming New England town too!
