Mother’s Day Celebration Ideas – Table Settings for Brunch:
Even though some of you will be venturing out to restaurants for Mother’s Day, I’m sure many of you (myself included) will be celebrating Mother’s Day at home. Here is an example of how I decorated a casual Mother’s Day table a couple years ago. I think this look could work for brunch, lunch or even dinner.
If you want to see all the details, which included a coordinated bar cart for the occasion…be sure to read that blog post.
This week on the blog, I shared my most recent Mother’s Day table setting decor. For the table design, I went with a tropical British Colonial style. After all, we’re not traveling yet…so why not create a vacation vibe at home?!!
Obviously, we’re hoping for warm weather so we can dine outside on the patio!
Mother’s Day Celebration Ideas – Recipes:
Whether you’re cooking yourself or ordering take-out for Mother’s Day, don’t forget the dessert! This pound cake recipe is delicious and the fruit will make you feel less guilty for eating dessert!
If your mom likes to indulge a bit more, try this white chocolate silk pie – which is a huge hit with our family. With our recipe, you can make it with white chocolate or regular chocolate…something for every taste!
Or, how about you treat your mom to an online cooking class? Sur La Table offers a huge selection of online cooking classes and Williams Sonoma offers Baking School classes where you can sign up individual classes or a whole series.
Mother’s Day Celebration Ideas – An Afternoon Tea:
Perhaps, you don’t have enough time for a full brunch…Why not squeeze in an afternoon tea?…
Mother’s Day Celebration Ideas – Flowers and Festivals:
Sure, you could buy your mom flowers for Mother’s Day but it would also be fun to take her to a flower festival! Just a few days ago, I visited Holland Ridge Farms for their annual tulip festival. Yes, it was amazing…
If you have any flower festivals or garden tours in your area, consider taking your mom! I’d love it if my boys bought me tickets for another one!
Mother’s Day Celebration Ideas – Shopping Finds:
If your mom loves blue and white decor, these candlesticks would make a lovely gift!
For a mom with a sense of humor, this is very cute!
If you aren’t able to celebrate Mother’s Day in person this year, send your mom a festive gift basket!
Or, set up a bulb of the month gift!
