Happy Fall everyone! Of course, it would be a lot easier to welcome fall if it wasn’t so hot here in New Jersey! The temps have been up in the 90’s these past few days so I haven’t dared to put a pumpkin outside to rot in the sun… In fact, I haven’t done too much decorating for fall yet. So today, I will share some of my ideas of how I have celebrated fall in the past. Hopefully, I will give you some inspiration of ways you can welcome fall to your home!

How to Welcome Fall to Your Home:
Well, I guess the best place to start welcoming fall is right at the entrance to your home!
Welcome Fall on Your Porch:
Each year, I like to start with a new wreath or door hanging. From there I choose my colors and accessories (like this cute doormat) for the rest of the porch. Almost every year, I decorate with mums – which the deer love to eat! Luckily, over the past few years I have learned to spray the mums with a stinky deer repellent which really works well. Don’t worry, it only smells bad while it’s wet!
Decorate Your Foyer for the Season:
Besides the front door, the foyer is the next important spot to add some fall cheer. In our foyer, we have a console table which I like to update each season. Just a few simple accessories are all you need.
Decorate Your Mantel for Fall:
Usually, I keep my mantel decorated simply but it can be fun to pull out some seasonal accessories and make it extra festive! I mean, who can resist white pumpkins, after all!
Speaking of white pumpkins…
Set a Festive Fall Table:
Since I love using white pumpkins, I designed a table setting around them. From there, I continued decorating with the white pumpkins around my kitchen. Although I normally use more color in my fall decor, I was thrilled with the way my kitchen looked that year!
Decorate a Bar Cart:
Ever since we updated our dining room and bought a bar cart, I have been having the best time decorating it! If you only have a few seasonal items for your home, a bar cart is a great place to gather them together.
Make a Fall Recipe:
Yes, it’s that comfort food time of year! There is just something special about the scent of banana muffins baking in the fall. Don’t you agree?
Hopefully, I gave you some ideas to start bringing fall into your home!
