Paint Colors in My Home

Yesterday, I told you I tested a sample of Benjamin Moore’s Iced Slate for my son’s room. He wanted a blue-ish gray but after I painted the board, I thought it looked a little lavender in certain light.  I waited to get his reaction before I said anything.

He took one look at it and said,”I don’t like it.  It looks purple!”

So, it’s back to the drawing board with that!

In the meantime, I thought I would show you the paint colors that I have used in my house….

(All paints are Benjamin Moore)…

Since then, I have updated the paint in my dining room to this color.

Little Kid Room:  Linen White
You might wonder why “Little Kid” has a big bed
and “Big Kid” has a twin…
Well, “Little Kid” took over the guest room
and we just never switched them.
“Big Kid” has not let me forget this though…

Benjamin Moore Dry Sage
Basement Man Cave:  Dry Sage

Benjamin Moore Linen White
Basement Man Cave Bathroom:
Linen White

Ok, so what’s missing?  Husband’s office…white but too messy right now, Kids’ bathroom…Hawthorne yellow, but changing some things…Kids’ basement playroom…Navajo White but WAY too messy to show!  (We have all the toys piled up from the upstairs playroom)

I have not been able to keep up with certain things since our furball arrived.

So, as I said, the next painting project will be my son’s room….as soon as he decides on a color that is!

What is your next paint project?

By the way…my most asked about color is…

  4. Love all your colors, but I'm especially drawn to the two greens. Maybe the one that's interesting I'll look into…Thanks for sharing! Getting use to the family addition? Hugs

  5. I love your rooms in Providence Oliv! I'm repainting all of my main areas that were BM-Westminster Gold, and doing Navajo White! Big project!

  6. My master bedroom/bathroom is next. Just finished guest bath and guest bedroom. I love the Monroe Bisque – have it in my office. Almost tempted to use in bedroom. Picked up samples today and by the time I get the border down (it was here when we bought the house!) and minor spots patch, I will have made up my mind.Love your color selections. The white trim is always so refreshing and adds such brightness. We have wood trim and it casts a little different view. Can't wait to see the rest of your rooms!

  7. Wow, I have been looking for the perfect paint color for my living room/greatroom/hallway areas for over a year. I was hard to find the perfect neutral but bone white seems great. It's light which is what I wanted, but still shows off the trim. I have to admit I was considering going with a light grey color as well, but I have a green formal and kitchen, as well as accent furniture in green so I am not sure a grey would work. Thanks alot!
