Blue and White Coastal Table Setting (Inspired by Summer)
With the beautiful weather we’re having, I thought it was time for a summer inspired tablescape. So, I put together a blue and white coastal table setting to welcome the season! Whether you live on the coast or just love coastal style, I hope I inspire you with my beachy decor…
Blue and White Coastal Table Setting:
In my opinion, blue and white are perfect colors to use with beach themed table decor…
Shades of blue remind us of a pool, the ocean and the vibrant summer sky. Whites can represent slipcovered furniture in a beach house, white curtains flapping in the breeze, a white hydrangea bush on a path to the beach…
Ever since I decorated the kitchen for Mother’s Day, I have been wanting more blue and white in my kitchen.
So, I’ve been buying blue and white table decorations whenever I can.
After all, blue and white does feel summery and gives that coastal inspired feel!
Recently, I was fortunate to win a $100 gift card to TJMaxx/Homegoods. So I purchased these blue and white Ralph Lauren place mats…among other things!
Yes, I have been quite lucky with giveaways lately! Recently, I’ve won a few! With all this luck, maybe I should play the lottery!
Then I could buy more blue and white…lots of it….
Until recently, I hadn’t been buying too many things – since we splurged on our kitchen remodel last year. My husband is still recovering from that…financially and mentally…lol.
Besides the place mats, I already owned the other beachy table decor. For instance, the starfish add some coastal touches and work perfectly with the blue and white table decorations.
To keep my table looking casual and coastal, I used textured napkin rings with plain white napkins.
One of these days, I will get around to buying a new table and chairs. Although, these work for now. Don’t even get me started on the counter stools though. Yes, I am still shopping for those! *Update – I finally purchased new counter stools… and they actually coordinate well with the coastal vibe in my kitchen.
Neutrals and Textures for a Coastal Look:
Rattan chargers are another great accessory for a coastal table…
They help balance out the color and add warmth and interest to the table.
Blue and White Coastal Decor Around the Kitchen:
On the middle of my island, I gathered a little more blue and white together on this navy blue tray from Homegoods. With a few shells and faux flowers, I was able to carry the beach themed table decor around the room. This simple vignette could also work as a coastal centerpiece.
I hope you enjoyed my blue and white coastal table setting!
Expect to see more blue and white decor in my kitchen from now on. Tomorrow, stop by to see how I updated this coastal inspired table setting for the 4th of July! After all, that holiday is practically around the corner! **Update – If you’d like to read that post, visit – Patriotic Table Setting.

Fresh flowers are essential for my summer table. Preferably dahlias and sweet peas! Zinnias are also good 🙂
