In case you haven’t noticed, I happen to love decorating seasonal tablescapes! Next week on the blog, I’ll be sharing a new tablescape all decked out for Halloween. For today, I thought I’d re-share some ideas for fall table decor in case you missed them the first time around. Maybe some of my ideas will inspire you!
Simple Ideas for Fall Table Decor:
In the fall, it’s not necessary to go crazy with accessories. With all the seasonal items available this time of year, you can create something beautiful with nature!
Autumn Table with Neutrals and Textures (and white pumpkins!):
For this tablescape, I kept the colors neutral and added in natural elements like the rattan chargers, hazelnuts and of course, white pumpkins. If you read my blog regularly, you know I love decorating with white pumpkins in the fall.
To let the gold patterned runner take center stage, I went with a simple and casual look using white plates. On the head place settings I used white napkins but mixed in green patterned ones for the rest of the table. Then I continued decorating the rest of the kitchen with the same subtle colors.
Casual Table Setting with Buffalo Checks:
This year, I pulled out my gold patterned runner again to create a casual table setting. For a new look, I dressed up the table with a little more color.
Since I add navy blue to my decor whenever possible, I used that as my accent color. Just by using some simple buffalo check ribbon, I coordinated my flower box centerpiece with each of the diy napkin rings. For a super-easy DIY project, see how I made my flower box centerpiece.
Simple Ideas for Fall Table Decor with White Pumpkins:
Like I mentioned, I can never get enough white pumpkins. For this table, I kept my fall decor very simple and I even added a little blue.
To keep things casual, I went with a super easy centerpiece – a potted mum placed inside a harvest basket. I flanked the mum with a couple white pumpkins and candles and I was done. Between the burlap runner and the harvest basket, the table had a bit of a farmhouse vibe.
Farmhouse Style Ideas for Fall Table Decor (with Black and White):
Years ago, I created this black and white tablescape mixed with neutrals. As you can see, even back then I loved those white pumpkins!
To dress up the table a bit, I brought out my black and white patterned china. Mixing the china with the more casual accessories gave the table a casually elegant feel. By the way, that china pattern has been discontinued and I still regret not purchasing more pieces!
Embracing Color in the Dining Room for Fall:
Since my dining room is painted navy blue, I was inspired to decorate a fall table using blue and orange accents. After all, blue and orange are complementary colors. Plus, fall is really the only time I get to decorate with orange. Bring on the color!
Once again, I mixed casual and dressy pieces together to keep the table decor from being too fussy. My blue willow plates and my blue and white porcelain were toned down by the rattan and the burlap runner. Yes, that burlap runner gets a lot of use in my house! Not only did I decorate the table, but I carried the fall decorating ideas to other areas of the room. Be sure to check out my side table and my fall bar cart!
Well, I hope I inspired you with my ideas for fall table decor!
