Ways to Cozy Up Your Home for Fall:

Set a fall table…

With Thanksgiving around the corner, it’s time to start planning your table decor.  Recently, I spotted this cozy table setting in Pottery Barn and now I’m thinking of decorating my dining room table in a similar style.  To shop these items, visit my LTK page.

Cozy up your home with fall fabrics…

When the days get cooler, it’s time to pull out the cozy throw blankets and textured throw pillows.  Over the years, I’ve collected so many fluffy throws from sherpa to faux fur…and I love draping them over my furniture.

Create ambiance with flickering candles…

Instead of turning on bright overhead lights, light some candles for a cozy glow.  When I light candles for the dinner table, I usually use unscented ones.  For everyday use in the fall, I love scented candles like pumpkin and clove.

Build a fire in your fireplace or fire pit…

Or if you don’t have a fireplace, find a cozy restaurant that has one!  When we travel to Vermont, we love sitting by a roaring fire…like this one at The Foundry.

Fill a glass container with seasonal items…

For my vase fillers, I love using seasonal items like hazelnuts, pine cones, mini pumpkins and even wine corks.  If you’re adding a candle to the container, just be careful with flammable items…unless of course, you have a flameless candle!

Add some fall color to your front door…

When decorating your exterior for fall, a fall wreath is a must-have!  This is such a simple way to add some seasonal decor to your entrance.  On my door, festive fall colors really pop against the black.  Plus the pine cones, fall leaves and various faux fall fruits add plenty of texture to the fall color palette.

Add pumpkins inside and out…

Welcome guests to your home with a pumpkin display on your front porch!  This weekend, I spotted this pretty assortment on one of the homes on a kitchen tour fundraiser.  Since they didn’t allow us to take pictures inside the homes, I’ll share a link to their Instagram page where you can see the approved photos and videos. – Spring Lake Kitchen Tour.  Enjoy!
