February Wrap Up (Decorating, Shopping and More!)
Happy weekend and welcome to the Saturday Spotlight! Despite the crazy snowstorms practically every day, February actually flew by! This week, I’m sharing a February wrap up of things that didn’t make the blog during the month. From winter and spring decorating to books, shopping and more, I hope to inspire you with my look back at the month of February!

February Wrap Up – Decorating Ideas:
My plan for a new TV and media table in the family room…
Since our family room TV is very old and too small (according to my family), we’ve decided to replace it. Obviously, that opens up a can of worms because we’ll have to replace to beat up old wall unit as well. I’m fine with that since it’s just a junk collector anyway…As you can see, the first photo is not styled at all. In fact, you can see me in my robe in the reflection during one of my sick days this month. Obviously, I didn’t have the energy to even neaten up the space when I took the photo. (February has been a tough month for colds!)

Anyway, my plan is to hang a larger TV over a simple console table. I might add two swivel chairs to fill in the space and to add more seating to the room. Obviously, they are too close for TV watching but will be helpful when we need more places to sit. So, stay tuned to see what we end up doing in here.
To give you an idea of what the rest of the family room looks like, here is a photo (from a previous spring) of the other side of the room…
As I look at this photo, it reminds me that I need to get moving on my spring decorating! Having a bad cold really squashes my creativity! All I’ve done lately is clean a few closets and donate a bunch of items…baby steps.

Some spring decorating inspiration…
If you’re ready to start decorating for spring, here’s a pretty spring home tour from a couple years ago.

Decorating Ideas I spotted during the month of February…
Whenever I get a chance, I try to visit our local Pottery Barn for inspiration. Recently, they started displaying their new spring merchandise and I’m loving all the blue and white. As you can see, their collaboration with Kravet is gorgeous!

February Wrap Up – Recent Reads:
In February, I read a fun book…
Since the last couple of books I’ve read have been on the serious side, I picked a lighthearted one for February. People We Meet on Vacation was an adorable love story with charming characters. As a huge fan of When Harry Met Sally, I loved how the author wrote her version of how two best friends develop romantic feelings towards each other. Add this one to your list!

Since I loved the book so much, I immediately watched the movie on Netflix! While there were a few differences, I found it so entertaining. As expected, the book went into much more detail and definitely developed the characters a little more. But I really loved the casting in the movie and loved seeing it come to life!
Shopping Finds to Wrap Up February:
Besides the Pottery Barn items above, here are some more shopping finds…
For your winter to spring flower arrangements, this hydrangea bundle looks so real!
And how gorgeous is this rattan vase? (If you’re looking for a knock-off of the more expensive McGee & Co version, this is such a find!)
Even though February is over, you can still celebrate love with a cute heart mug!
If you love checks, you can’t go wrong with this adorable skirted ottoman!
