Bring the outside in…
My hydrangea bushes are overflowing this time of year, so I snipped a bunch of blooms and arranged them in a large woven vase for my dining room table.
The oversized arrangement makes such a beautiful statement that adds to the relaxed late-summer feel that I love. Even if you don’t have any hydrangeas, you can clip a few leafy branches or even add some herbs to vases for a similar look.
Use Summer collections in your decor…
If you collected shells at the beach this summer, display them somewhere you can enjoy them.
Create a summer vignette…
For those of us who love the Nancy Meyers aesthetic, it’s fun to experiment with some summer inspired decor. Layer in books, plants, candles…and of course some blue and white. For the most part, August decorating is about savoring summer rather than rushing into fall!

Enjoy the great outdoors…
Like I said, summer isn’t over yet. If you’re like me, you’re appreciating every sunny day and every chance you get to spend outside. Sure, it’s been super hot some days…but I rather deal with heat than a foot of snow!
