Charleston Hotel Tour – Views and Charm in the Heart of the City

With all the hurricane/power outage craziness around here, I never got around to telling you about my recent trip to Charleston, SC!

Today, I will post pictures from where we stayed – the Harbourview Inn.

Harborview Inn Lounge

I will start with the lobby since we just loved the sitting area so much.

Couldn’t you just live in there?

Harborview Inn Public Spaces

The space had wonderful natural light.

M and Ms

And a ridiculous supply of M&Ms!  (Note – for “some reason” there were much fewer when we checked out!)

Shutters at the Harborview Inn

I just loved the shutters!

And like I said, the lobby was a great place to sit!

Here is the view looking towards the stairs.

Scenes from Harborview Inn

We enjoyed passing this map and lantern as we headed down the stairs each day.

Guest room at Harborview Inn

Here was our room.  Unfortunately, we did not have much of a view.

We joked that it was because we cancelled and re-booked the room so many times.

Originally, more of us were going but the hurricane changed some plans!

Guest room beds at Harborview Inn

 Guest Bed

The beds were Tempur-Pedic and we were quite excited to try them.  They were much different than my firm mattress at home but I did sleep pretty well.

Then again, with all the walking around, I could have fallen asleep on a bed of nails!

Guest Bath at Harborview Inn

The neutral bathroom was immaculate and obviously well maintained.

View from rooftop Harborview Inn

Since the weather was so gorgeous, we had our continental breakfast delivered up to the rooftop terrace.

Early morning views…Street views Charleston

Such a beautiful street.

It was just so nice to eat outside in November!

And you can see how happy I was to be on vacation!

(Just having power was a luxury to me that weekend!)

I would definitely recommend the Harbourview Inn to anyone staying in Charleston!  In addition to the beautiful rooms and rooftop, the location was perfect for walking around town!  It was a wonderful (long overdue) girls weekend.

Charleston is such a charming city and I loved it even more than I expected.

Tomorrow, I will post some pictures of the gorgeous homes around town!

Have you been to Charleston?

I would love for you follow along so you don’t miss a post!
