Fall Front Door – Decorating the Entrance

This weekend, I finally got around to decorating my front door and porch.

I just kept things very simple and I might add some more Halloween-y type things in a week or so.

I found this flower filled tin at Michael’s.

I have to keep the mums close to the door since the deer around here eat everything in sight.

And if you read my last post, you’ll see that the deer aren’t the only ones who try to wreck my decorating!

She even stole my gloves while I was working…

Have you decorated your front door yet?

  1. It's the perfect touch of fall! My door is bare, although I have a few things off to the side. Rio does exactly the same thing, and if we have anyone working at our house, we always have to tell them not to lay their gloves down! 🙂

  2. Your front door is very pretty, and please don't be too hard on that big baby of yours 🙂

  4. Don't feel bad, I only have a wreath up on the front door. I love the tin filled with flowers; simple and elegant. And, of course puppy dog is too cute. Thank you for sharing. Visiting from DIY by Design. Toodles, Kathryn @TheDedicatedHouse

  5. What a cute bucket you have on your door, maybe you should go with the fake pumpkins (don't think the deers will like them).Blessings,Linda

  6. Modern front doors are usually made of glass, but I'm still very attracted to a simple, but solid looking wooden door. That one is no exception and it’s actually even better because of it's attractive dark shade.Terry Arnold

  7. I really love your door and the perspective of your photo. It looks so beautiful with your Halloween pumpkin decor and flower centerpiece! I never knew that a dark shade like this is so stunning! I'm planning on painting our front door with black tulips, any ideas?- Francisco Close
