Guest Bathroom Reveal – Photos of Before and After

Well, it’s finally time for my guest bathroom reveal!  Yes, I’m finished…for now that is!  If you are following along, you might remember how we recently replaced the tile in our downstairs bathroom and laundry room.  Since one thing always seems to lead to another, I added a few more projects to update the guest bathroom…

Guest Bathroom BEFORE:

Here is what the bathroom looked like before we did anything.  The tile was white and the grout always looked dirty.

I was not happy with the beige colored toilet that always got clogged.

Oh, and take notice of the oak cabinets….(Yes, this is an old shot with a different rug).  While the guys replaced our tile, I decided to refinish the cabinets …what a project.  You can read all about the fun details ,but for now lets take a look…

Of course, I’m still tweaking a few of the accessories.  For instance, my neighbor told me I should change the wicker accents and the picture frame that matched the old cabinets.  Since, I kind of like the natural textures mixed in, I probably won’t listen. What do you think?

  1. Excellent job! I love the cabinets painted, it just lightens up the whole room. It has a soft fresh look about it.

  2. Beautiful changes! I really like them! Painting your cabinet white and changing out the fixtures updated it dramatically! If you like the natural accents, by all means keep them. If you want a more modern, cottage look, then white would look really pretty. Whatever you like and enjoy looking at is the right thing for you to have, in my humble opinion:)Hugs, Cindy

  9. Your bathroom looks great! We have been working on ours and can't seem to find the color of paint I have been looking for! What is the name of the paint color you used? It looks like the color I have been searching for but the samples never turn out the way I thought they would!
