August Wrap Up (Decorating, Shopping & More!)
Happy weekend and welcome to the Saturday Spotlight! Well, August is over…and as always, I’m heartbroken that summer is flying by. Before we jump into all things September, I’m sharing things that didn’t make the blog during the month of August. From summer decorating ideas to books, shopping, and more…here’s my August wrap up!

August Wrap Up – Simple Summer Vibes:
Appreciating the outdoor spaces…
Each month, I’ve been taking a photo from this same angle. It’s amazing how much my landscaping has changed from month to month. Lately, these hydrangeas are turning a late-summer pink hue. Since we’ve had a ton of rain this August, everything is so overgrown. Hopefully, all the rain means we’ll have a colorful fall!
Enjoying early morning sun…
As the summer winds down, I’ve been noticing the changes in the morning light.
Somedays, the angle of the sun is so beautiful that I want to freeze time!

August Wrap Up – Recent Reading:
In August, I read Emily Henry’s latest book…
Beach Read was obviously a great book to read in the summer. I enjoyed the chemistry between the two main characters and thought their witty dialog was very entertaining. Besides the romantic aspect of the story, the novel explored grief, family secrets and writers block. Overall, a fun read with plenty of humor and depth.
August Wrap Up – Vintage Shopping:
Earlier in the month, I shopped in Lambertville, NJ…
On my latest visit to The People’s Store Antiques, I spotted a painting that I almost bought. I just love the cheerful, nostalgic feel. It reminds me of a quiet summer afternoon in a charming New England village. Who knows, I could go back and buy it…
On that same trip, I found these two Vintage Baldwin brass hurricane candleholders. They were perfect and now I regret not buying them. Ugh…I always overthink things!
August Wrap Up – New Restaurant:
In August, we tried a new restaurant in New Hope, PA…
Located right on the Delaware River, Maddy Rose at the Landing is a new restaurant for steak and seafood. One weekend night, a group of us had a fabulous dinner on their patio. Even though the restaurant is working out the kinks of just opening, our cocktails and dinners were wonderful!

To enjoy what’s left of summer, here are some shopping finds…
