Spring Tulips on a Colorful Easter Table (2 Ways)

Have you thought about how you are setting your table this Easter?  If you’re like me, you love trying new ways to decorate a colorful Easter table.

This year, I was inspired by pink spring tulips so I designed two Easter table combinations around them…

In my first setting, I tied a pink ribbon around a tulip and white napkin.

These green and white place mats are great for spring and help to highlight the green from the tulip stem.

I also placed some white tulips in vases down the center of the table.

Blue and white plates tie into the blue and white accessories I have been using in my kitchen lately.

For the centerpiece, I used a white bunny planter. 

Since, the planter had been sitting on my deck, I didn’t have to look far.  As always, it helps to shop around the house.

I filled the bunny with the Easter Eggs we decorated at my mom’s house a couple weeks ago. 

These are actually craft eggs so I don’t have to worry about them rotting or breaking.

The centerpiece is low enough so it doesn’t block the people across the table.

*If you decide to use live tulips like I did, you might want to add them to the place setting right before your guests arrive since obviously they aren’t getting any water.  Tulips don’t last very long as it is.  Or, I guess you could use those water tubes on the ends.  Then the guests could take the tulip home.  Of course, another option is to buy artificial tulips.

After trying the bunny and egg centerpiece, I tried using the tulips and eggs in a different way for my second Easter table…

In my second Easter table setting, I used the pink tulips as the centerpiece.

I like the height they give the center of the table, yet they are not high enough to block anyone.

Then instead of using one tulip on each place setting, I used the eggs from the previous centerpiece.

All the eggs are different but I still used the pink ribbon to unify and keep the settings from looking too busy.

Using ribbon is an inexpensive way to be festive and add more color.

We painted with paintbrushes on some of the eggs and used markers on the others.

Placing the egg below each bow makes the bow resemble bunny ears.

Obviously, I didn’t change any of the other pieces on the table but I had fun trying the two options for the tulips and eggs.

It’s always fun to experiment with different looks, isn’t it?

How nice to see the sun shining again.  I am hoping this spring weather sticks around.

At least it’s feeling like spring in my kitchen.

Colorful Easter Table Sources:

Bunny Planter – I think I bought mine at Homegoods but this bunny planter is cute and this little bunny planter is adorable as well!
Craft Eggs – If you can’t find them in a craft store, these craft eggs look similar to the ones I used and  these craft eggs would be great as well!.
Rattan Chargers – I bought mine at Pier One but these rattan chargers are very similar.
Blue and White Plates – These are the same Johnson Brothers Blue Willow Plates I have.
Floral Water Tubes – If you want to use these for live tulips, I found some floral water tubes that are clear and hopefully wont’ be that noticeable.
Artificial Tulips – If you want to go artificial, check out your local craft store but if you can’t find any, these artificial pink tulips have great reviews and are only around 13 inches high so they wouldn’t hang over the plate too much.
