Nursery Inspiration from a Designer Showhouse

As a mom of two boys, I never had the chance to decorate a girly nursery in my home.  (Don’t read too much into that comment…I am not making any announcements!  Actually, that ship has sailed, my friends!)

Whenever I come across an adorable girl’s room I have to take a few minutes to bask in the sweetness of the space.  That’s just what I did when I entered this darling room at the Mansion in May Designer Showhouse last year.

What little girl wouldn’t love a chandelier like this in her bedroom?  What big girl wouldn’t?!!

This lovely room was designed by Karla Trincanello of Interior Decisions, Inc.  You can’t really tell by my photos, but there are actually two cribs in the room.  The space was designed with twin baby girls in mind.  Every inch of the space is just adorable, don’t you think?

The soft, feminine colors make the room feel restful and relaxing.

But there are plenty of places to play when the girls get a little bigger.

Tea party, anyone?

I love the way the changing tables can easily be converted to dressers or side tables just by removing the changing pad on top.  Love the glass knobs too.  So many precious details.

Speaking of precious, how charming is this armoire designed to display the little outfits?!!

The perfect place to showcase precious collectibles too…

There is even a perfect spot for the parents to sit and watch the girls…and enjoy the room.  Aren’t those windows magnificent?  Two lucky baby girls indeed!

Every other year or so, the Women’s Association of Morristown Memorial Hospital presents a Mansion in May tour to raise funds for the hospital.  I am definitely looking forward to next year’s mansion!  I promise to get you those pictures a little faster than I did these!  If you want to see another sweet girls’ bedroom, click over to A Dream Bedroom for Girls from a previous Mansion in May designer showhouse.

  1. Love those cribs! The little table and chair set is adorable. My oldest had a little wicker set years ago. Kicking myself for not keeping it. Oh well. And having two comfy chairs is a great addition.
