Weekend Pupdate #12

This week, Rosie spent most of her time chewing things.

Luckily, none of those things were furniture.

Just a few sticks…

And she even started carrying around her old toy that came home with her from the breeder.

She always had something in her mouth.

She also got a little stubborn this week.  This is what she would do  when I told her it was time to go out.

“But Mom, I don’t have to go yet…”

Then I thought it would be funny to try to put a hat on her for the Kentucky Derby.

Needless to say, she was not thrilled with the idea.

It fact, she ended up trying to bite that too!

It wasn’t until she dropped the hat that I noticed the blood from a newly lost tooth.

So apparently, all the chewing this week was making her teeth feel better.

Oh Rosie, I hope you are feeling better now!

By the way, funny story on the Kentucky Derby…

My husband had planned to play golf late in the afternoon so I spent the day teaching my kids about the Kentucky Derby.  We also colored maps of Kentucky and did Derby word search puzzles.  Then we went through the list of the horses and chose the names we liked.  Our choices were not based on the odds, they were based on the names we liked.

Right before my husband went out, I told him the horses we chose.

Get this…I picked – I’ll Have Another, my older son picked – Daddy Nose Best and the little kid picked – Done Talking.

Well, we all know who won!  It was so funny because during the race, the kids and I were jumping up and down with excitement.  They were so into it because they had spent the whole day learning about it.  Well, Rosie got excited with us and even she was jumping all over!

And ironically, my husband ended up getting “I’ll Have Another” in his golf pool!

I swear I am psychic sometimes…Maybe I really should start playing the lottery….

Did you pick a horse in the Kentucky Derby?

  1. Aw…that little Rosie. She is so cute. They do loose their baby teeth and most dogs just swallow them. My little dog didn't though. I found tiny little doggy baby teeth all over the house – she was spitting them out! ;)Be a sweetie,Shelia 😉
