I totally agree!! Thanksgiving should be the focus of November, then Christmas after that.
Thanks, Carole! Nice to know someone else appreciates Thanksgiving! I try to enjoy each holiday…
Thank you so much for hosting the party.
Happy fall,
Kippi
Thanks, Kippi! Have a great weekend!
Me too! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year — non commercial and all about family and passing along traditions and memories. Thanks for featuring my Birds of a Feather table Shelley. It includes a number of vintage elements passed down in the family that I cherish. Today I shared my latest; a pumpkin patch theme Thanksgiving brunch as part of the tablescape hop.
Glad you love Thanksgiving as much as I do! Thanks for joining us again this week!
I’ve always done one holiday at a time, because otherwise how can you truly enjoy them?
So true… Cheers to Thanksgiving! Thanks for joining us!
I couldn’t agree more! Thanks again for hosting!
Cheers to Thanksgiving! And you’re welcome!
Shelley, while I do love Christmas, I really enjoy seeing all these ideas for Thanksgiving, and hope it continues a while longer! Thank you for hosting the best of the weekend, and I hope you save some for yourself!
Thanks, Rita! I feel the same way! Let each holiday shine on its own! Enjoy your weekend!
Thanks so much for sharing Christina’s Pumpkin Tart with Nutty Streusel!
You’re welcome! It looks delicious!
Thank you for hosting! This is what I featured the week of 10-28 to 11-1 on my blog. On Tuesday morning was a Raspberry Custard Pie. Wednesday I posted a Blackberry Cobbler. Wrapping up this week of fruity pies, cobblers and tarts I highlighted a Key Lime Tart. Enjoy!
Sounds delicious, Marilyn! I am sure those would be great for Thanksgiving… Have a wonderful week!
That sums up exactly how I feel! I just LOVE Thanksgiving so I never skip over it… though I am planning and getting a start on our Christmas shopping.
Great – I think every holiday should have some attention! I agree with you…I am planning for Christmas as well!
Thank you for hosting the party. Have a great week!
You’re welcome! Enjoy your week!
Even though I start right after Halloween, decorating for Christmas, I fully celebrate Thanksgiving. For the past 32 years, I have held Thanks giving Dinner at my house, cooking every single item that my family of 5 has for dinner. I have also had to work either the Eve or the Day of Thanksgiving because as a Staff RN, hospitals stay open on Holidays and you have to work either the eve or the day of every Holiday when you work night shift. I just worked my schedule of sleeping around my Thanksgiving Day dinner. And since it takes me almost 25 days to decorate my house inside and out for Christmas, I have to start early to enjoy it for Christmas.
Thanks for hosting!!
Hugs,
Debbie
Sounds like you are very busy this time of year. I can understand why you have to start decorating early! Maybe if I stretched my decorating out a little more, I would be less stressed about trying to get most of it done in one weekend! Thanks for sharing your decorating schedule and for joining us this week!
Thanks for stopping by, Shelley!!
Hugs,
Deb
