Now, if I lived somewhere where the trees looked like this:
I wouldn’t have woken up to ones that looked like this:
My yard looked so peaceful…
The ice sparkled on the trees..
But then I looked on the other side of the house…
What happened up there?
My precious River Birch trees!
The branches just snapped from the weight of the ice.
This is what the trees looked like last summer.
(This was the only picture I could find.)
Even the other River Birch trees behind the house were bent under the weight.
At least these bounced back once the ice started to melt.
I am linking up to A Southern Daydreamer Outdoor Wednesday.
Who else had ice damage from this storm?
