Christmas Mantel 2012

Recently, I hung a round mirror over my mantel.

Originally, I had all kinds of visions of how I would decorate the space for Christmas but I ended up liking the mirror all by itself.

So, I kept things simple.

Just some garland, candles and of course the stockings.

My kids reminded me that we need a stocking for the dog this year.  Well, I guess I’ll have to go buy one.

These Pier One candles just move all over my house!

Here is what the mantel looked like with a roaring fire the other night which explains why I am out of wood in the top picture!
(That is part of my son and his DS player in the corner.)

So, the decorating continues.  Each day I get a little more done around here.  Sooner or later I’ll be finished!

  4. Your mantel is so pretty, Shelley! I really like the wood surround with the dental molding. I adore the needlepoint stockings! I wish my eyes and hands were good enough to do needlepoint. I used to do all kinds of crewel and needle work, but not anymore. I hope Rosie gets her stocking!
