The Secret to Southern Charm at the Jersey Shore
This past weekend, the Jersey Shore showed some northern hospitality to our southern friend, author and blogger, Kristy Woodson Harvey! Today, I’ll share the highlights from this stop on her book tour!

Book Tour Stop at the Jersey Shore:
For her only book tour stop in New Jersey, Kristy chose a wonderful place to meet and greet her fans. She held her event at the beautiful store, Root Home Decor and Interior Design in Manasquan, New Jersey, which was the perfect backdrop to discuss her most recent novel, The Secret to Southern Charm. This is the second book in her Peachtree Bluff series. If you are familiar with the first one, Slightly South of Simple, you know that interior design plays a big part in the story.
Kristy gave an entertaining talk about her background and answered questions about the book. No surprise that she was gracious, funny and as lovely as you would imagine. She also took the time to talk with each person and of course, take a few photos…

Book Tour and Coastal Decor Inspiration:
In addition to meeting Kristy, we all enjoyed browsing around and swooning over all the pretty displays. The store design fit so well with the coastal style of the homes described in her book series.
Not only was the store beautiful but everyone from Root and Booktowne (the local bookstore running the event), was so friendly and welcoming. I could have stayed there all day just to hang out!
And to shop, of course… Look at all the coastal gorgeousness! The owner/designer was such a fun guy too. I could imagine what a blast it would be to have him design a room!
Hopefully, Kristy enjoyed her time in New Jersey as much as we enjoyed having her! Maybe she’ll be able to return when she tours for her next book.
