Take Me Away Recap – April 2018

Could spring really be here?  I am almost afraid to ask that because I might jinx the few days of warmer temperatures in NJ!

Is it just me or are the blossoms on the trees extra pretty this year?  I snapped these photos of my pear tree the other day and I have noticed the cherry blossoms are extra gorgeous too!

Anyway, we all need some travel inspiration so let’s take a look back at the posts linked up for the April Take Me Away Party!

Tanya from The Other Side of the Road took us away to San Francisco

California 2018- Alcatraz and the Wharf

Our Unschooling Journey took us to the Seuss Museum and Sculpture Gardens

I don’t know about you, but I never knew this place existed!  What a fantastic place for kids and all of us Seuss-loving adults!

Our Unschooling Journey also took us on an art museum tour..

The Springfield Art Museums

A great selection of paintings, sculptures and interesting artifacts…definitely some places to get lost in for a day or two!

And while in Springfield, Massachusetts,  Our Unschooling Journey also helped us learn more about the town at the Museum of Springfield History

Antique cars, bikes and an awesome game section.  It looks a wonderful place for everyone in the family!

Susan from Our French Oasis shared some lovely outdoor photos from her home in France…

Spring, Why Are You Being So Shy?

Apparently, we aren’t the only ones waiting for spring.  Her weather hasn’t been ideal this season but her photos sure are pretty!

Let’s jump from spring in France to winter in North Carolina…Carole from From My Carolina Home takes us Hiking in Winter

Carole’s photos give us an appreciation for the beauty of nature and the change of seasons.

On to a fascinating tour of Chihuly Garden and Glass in Seattle with Pam and Butch from Everyday Living

This exhibition was one of the highlights of their Seattle trip and you will see why after scrolling through their photos!  Just stunning!

Nancy from Two Trails One Road gave us a tour of the famous Hotel Del Coronado

Beautiful photos of a historic hotel…if those walls could talk!  Stop over to read more about the hotel and to see the amazing sand castle on the beach!

Two Trails One Road then took us on a stop to Le Havre, France on part of a Trans-atlantic cruise…

Parlez Vous Francais

An enchanting tour through the countryside and an emotional stop at a historic place we should never forget!

Let’s continue on the cruise to Hamburg, Germany with Two Trails One Road

Hamburg, Germany

What a beautiful river cruise with so much to see along the way!  Between the architecture and all the other ships, this cruise really looked like so much fun!

As always, thank you to everyone who stops by each month!  Whether you are here to link up your own posts or to read others, we always enjoy having you!

Be sure to stop by on the first Friday of each month to link up!  (Thursday nights for you early birds…)

  1. Thank you for posting your recap every month! It gives me a chance to see the ones I haven’t visited! It is gardening day at my house!

  2. Since then we have had a huge heatwave with high summer temperatures that last a week and now we have dropped back down to below average, very strange! It is either too to garden or almost too cold and necessitating wellie boots and raincoats!!
